An innovation and entrepreneurship team composed of 7 college students has settled in one after another. This event has attracted more than 20 college students. A group of like-minded young people are chasing freedom and dreams in the green mountains and clear water.


Bao Xin is one of them. He is an Internet celebrity with tens of thousands of fans in Spark, and also who is a returning youth."When I was a child, I saw the forest of bamboo and clear stream every day. Such a good natural resources must make us rich ." he said .And BaoXin ,as a corporate executive in the metropolis who resigned and returned his hometown in Aug.2020. With the dream of turning old village into an" ideal village ", he served as the party branch secretary and director of the village committee of XiaYang Village,who leaded the villagers to come ture the goals of green, low-carbon and common prosperity. Over the past two years,he has boosted the collective income of XiaYang Village frome 80,000RMB to one million RMB by camping economy.


"when I returned to the village, the first thing I did was to restore the environment and protect the ecology.I renovated and reused old farmhouses, and created eight distinctive campsites with different styles, such as 'forest' and 'RV' , covering an area of nearly 200 mu,” Bao said. At the same time, it also attracted many famous outdoor camping brands and operating companies, such as ShangHai Light Source, Aluke, Zayo, ShangHai Airpark Roof Park, DaQianBei, 51camp, fun camp, etc.”BaoXin said“In order to invigorating the village idle land and housing resources, the village also use“Rent + share” model for the development of camp facilities."


“During the holidays, most of my friends post photos of their camping trips in Wechat Moments. Seeing the exquisite life is really overwhelming, so I'm ready to experience it in the next few days." A friend told me.


It is reported that Spark, TikTok and other social media have seen a "camping wind". So far, enterprises about "camping"have more than 40,000 registered . According to Ctrip data shows that the search volume of camping on the platform has increased 8 times year-on-year.The per-capita cost of camping is about 550RMB, and the per-capita cost of overnight camping is about 700RMB.


According to the booking preferences of Ctrip's user in 2022, the main group for camper are 30-40 years old which accounted for 49%.Followed by young freshmen are 20-30 years old which accounted for 30%.


About product booking preferences, more than 78% of users prefer the overnight camped products. Camper are mainly for parent-child, business (team building), and couples travelling. Parent-child campers accounted for 34%, business orders accounted for 19%, and lovers' orders accounted for 18%.


In recent years, Spark has been looking for an live experience center that connects cities and rural areas, and finally chose the XiaYang as the first base of live camping . The wholly-owned subsidiary of Spark cooperated with Hillman Tourism Company of XiaYang Village to establish Beautiful Cultural Tourism, which revitalized the cultural tourism resources of the county, and changed the idle land into a green camping site for sustainable development. With the increasing number of projects, the villagers' "money bags" are also getting bigger and bigger. "In 2022, our village received more than 100000 camping tourists, with tourism revenue exceeding 3 million RMB, and villagers' annual income increasing by over 20,000 RMB." Bao said. Not only that, XiaYang Village has also teamed up with neighboring FuShi and ChiWu villages to establish a company ,which driving the average income of the village increased over 500,000RMB.


Standing on the viewing platform at the entrance of the village, Bao Xin looked down the mountain and saw the village where he had lived since he was a child. Less than 2 years since he had come back home,he felt more comfortable.Because he fulfilled his original promise!
